There's Something Fishy Going On! (3-5-2017)
It was a glorious May day and we went for a walk to Templemoyle to the local river with two men from Inland Fisheries Ireland. We have been learning all about freshwater abd seawater fish in Geography over the past few weeks. We got a fabulous poster each and a Something Fishy book. We made a river containing all the Irish freshwater fish and we are in the middle of making ocean dioramas in Art to include as many sea fish as possible. Thank you to Inland Fisheries Ireland for letting us participate in this very good programme. Thank you to Joe Rabbitte for letting us explore our local river.
Some of the insects which show how clean the water in our local river is.
We used these sheets to help us to identifythe insects.

Our localriver is teeming with life.
What a great way to lear our local Geography by going on a field trip.
