Volcano Experiment with Junior and Senior Infants 2019

We had so much fun in Science class today. We invited the Junior and Senior Infants to our room and we talked about volcanoes. We taught them that when an acid and a base are mixed, a chemical reaction takes place. Carbon dioxide gas is released. We went outside and we set up our volcano experiments. We got vinegar (Acetic acid) and baking soda (Bicarbonate of soda). We added red food colour. We also added water and Fairy liquid and we were amazed when our volcanoes erupted! Thank you to Ms fahy for letting us work with the Junior and Senior infants today.
