Capillary Action Experiment (23-05-2018)

We learned about pollination in Science. We drew and labelled the parts of a flower. We learned what the function of each part of the flower is. We learned that the roots and stem transport nutrients up to the leaf. Photosynthesis takes place in the leaf.  The nutrients are transported up the stem by an action called capillary action. We did an experiment to  demonstrate how the nutrients are transported up the stem. We put white flowers in a glass of water. We used pipettes to add food colouring  to the water.
