Geraldine Mills Visits Newcastle 2018

We were very lucky to have a visit from an author on Tuesday. She spoke to us about her life as an author. She read an extract from her book "Gold" which is on sale in the book fair. It took her two years to write it! She showed us a working manuscript which she corrects herself before she sends it off to be published. She got us writing then and we wrote an amazing poem called "A Secret Box" which is modelled on Kit wright's poem "A magic Box". She said we were brilliant and she was very impressed with our poem. She told us it is never too early to start writing so keep up the great essay writing. There may be a few future authors in 5th and 6th class. Thank you to Geraldine Mills for coming to talk to us and for inspiring us to write the poem.
