Jumble sale 2017

We had a fantastic day at the jumble sale. We ran our own business for the day and we are fantastic business people. There are a few entrepeneurs in 5th and 6th class. We learned a lot of life skills that we will never learn in a book organising this special day.We collected the jumble over the past few weeks. We sorted it out into categories. We priced it. We arranged the goods in the centre. We made posters to advertise our jumble sale. We sent out notes to the families to advertise the jumble sale. We worked like troopers om the day to ensure it was a successful day. 

A huge thank you to the 5th and 6th class students for making the day so successful. Thank you to the very generous parents of Newcastle who send in the goods to be sold as there would be no jumble sale without your generosity. Thank you to the parents who donated lovely raffle prizes. Thank you to Teresa Hann who worked hard all day selling raffle tickets in the centre. Thank you to the teachers for bringing their classes over and for buying lots of bargains. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came to support us on the day. We raised €1403.41 and we are very proud of ourselves. Well done to everyone.
