Baking Porridge Scones n Science (27-01-2017)
We have been learning about farming in Geography and in History we have been learning all about food in mediaeval times. The three main crops grown in Ireland are wheat. oats and barley. On Operation transformation, we were told that porridge is one of the best foods we can eat. Today in Science, we made porridge scones. We worked in groups and we made them from natural yogurt, porridge oats, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and dates. Theses scones are very healthy and good for us all. The recipes are in the children's Science copies. Try them at home.They are yummy!
5th class are great at working in groups.
I love pumpkin seeds.
Dates are a great alternative to sugar to sweeten foods.
