Junior Infants and 5th and 6th Class  Science June 2016

We did a very interesting Science experiment today which showed surface tension at its best. We poured milk onto a plastic plate which had a deep side on it. We used pipettes to add different food colours to the milk. We dipped a cotton bud into shampoo and we gently added the cotton bud to the mixture on the plate. We were astonished to see the food colours run all over the place and make beautiful patterns. We love working together to do Science. 

We watched a clip on youtube first to show us what to do.

Very patriotic for the year that is in it!
