Pete Mullineaux Visits 5th and 6th.
We had a lovely visitor on Tuesday the 12th of April. Pete Mullineaux is a writer and a poet. He read us a poem that he wrote when he was 13 and it is his first published poem. He played a game with us where we clicked our fingers and said "My name is Sabina and I have a sliothar". We all had to make up an object that began with our first initial. Jack had jam and Ben had a banjo!!. We all had to remember what everyone had. It was fun and we have great memories. He sang us a song about dinosaurs which he composed himself and it was brilliant. Thank you to Pete Mullineaux for brightening up our day.
We clicked our fingers in the game.
5th class had to remember what all of 6th class had!
He showed us a rain maker. We came up with wet words and we learned a great example of onomatopoeia. Splish, splash, pitter, patter are great words that sound wet! We wrote our own poems about the rain maker after he left.
We are a very attentive class and Pete told Ms Treacy that he really liked working with us.
Pete Mullineaux sang us a song about a dinosaur.
