Airobix! Science Experiment (13-11-2015)

On Friday we did a very interesting experiment to show that there is 20% oxygen in the air we breathe. We used candles, a jar, matches, 2 nails and blutac to carry out our experiment. 

We used blutac to secure our candles.

We put two nails on either side of the candle.

We lit the candles with matches.

Wew slowly put the jar over the candle.

We were fascinated to see the water rise in the jar when the candle extinguished.

The water rose 20% up the jar.

We love working together.
